Delete Your Account
Brief Network IT Services Private Limited ("Adhivaktas.com", "we")
You can delete your Adhivaktas.com account yourself, at any time, from inside the app.
In the app
- Open the app, on your phone or at app.adhivaktas.com, and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Near the bottom, press Delete my account. The app says what will be removed and what will be kept before anything happens. Press Delete my account again to confirm.
For your safety, deleting needs a sign-in from the last ten minutes. If you signed in earlier than that, the app asks you to sign out and sign in again first.
If you cannot sign in
Write to grievance@adhivaktas.com from the email address on your account, or tell us the mobile number it uses. We confirm the account is yours and delete it within 30 days, as the Privacy Notice promises.
What is deleted straight away
- your profile, mobile number, email address and profile photo;
- the photo of you holding your Bar Council ID, if we still have it;
- the places you watch, your notifications and every signed-in session;
- your open briefs, which come off the board, and your applications to other advocates' briefs.
What is kept, and for how long
The record of briefs you gave out or took on, the fees agreed and paid, your wallet's entries and your messages are kept for two years after the account is deleted, with your name and enrolment number. They are the other advocate's record as much as yours. After two years they are deleted too.
Sign-in records and support tickets are kept for 180 days, as set out in section 7 of the Privacy Notice.
Before you delete
- Work under way with another advocate has to be finished, or settled, first.
- Earnings left in the wallet: they cannot be withdrawn during the launch period, so you choose to give them up. Launch credits go with the account.
If you only want a break, Deactivate my account on the same screen hides your profile and stops new work coming to you, and signing in again brings it all back.
