1. Who to contact

Grievance Officer Name: Urmila Designation: Grievance Officer Email: grievance@adhivaktas.com Post: D-65, First Floor, Defence Colony, New Delhi 110024 Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm IST

The Grievance Officer is a named person, as Rule 3(2)(a) requires. Their name and contact details also appear inside the app and in the website footer.

2. What you can raise

3. How to complain

Write to grievance@adhivaktas.com, or use Support inside the app. Please include:

  1. Your name and Bar enrolment number
  2. What happened, and when
  3. The reference number of the work, if it concerns a specific engagement
  4. What you want us to do
  5. For a complaint about content: where it appears, and why it should be removed

An unsigned or anonymous complaint may still be acted on, but we may be unable to tell you the outcome.

4. What happens, and when

Stage Timeline
We acknowledge in writing, with a ticket number within 24 hours
We resolve, and tell you the outcome with reasons within 15 days
Content that is unlawful on its face, or an impersonation report acted on as quickly as possible, and no later than 36 hours where a court order or government direction requires it
A request to remove non-consensual or morphed imagery within 24 hours

If we cannot resolve within 15 days we will tell you before that deadline, explain why, and give a revised date.

5. Impersonation is treated as urgent

Advocates are verified against the Bar Council of Delhi roll. If you tell us an account is using your enrolment number and is not you, we will suspend that account first and investigate afterwards. Write to grievance@adhivaktas.com with the subject line "IMPERSONATION".

6. A dispute about a fee

During the trial, fees move in trial credits through the wallet, not in money (clause 5 of the Terms of Use). When a poster refuses to confirm the work, the fee stays locked. Either advocate may write to us: we look at the record, then return the credits to the poster or release them to the other advocate, and tell both of you which, and why. That decides trial credits on this platform. It is not a finding about the work.

Money the two of you settle outside Adhivaktas.com never reaches us, and we cannot reverse, refund or release it.

What we can do, and will:

If you want money recovered, that is a matter between you and the other advocate, and ultimately for a court or the Bar Council. Our record is evidence you may use.

7. If you are not satisfied

You may appeal the Grievance Officer's decision to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up by the Government of India, within 30 days of receiving it, at gac.gov.in. This is provided by Rule 3A of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

Nothing here limits your right to approach a consumer forum, the Bar Council of Delhi, or a court.

8. Records

Every complaint, its acknowledgement, and its outcome are retained for 180 days. We publish a periodic compliance report as required by Rule 4(1)(d) where applicable.
